By:  Jannela Garriel

Quirino province and its capital Cabarroguis are part of 241 local government units throughout the Philippines to be recognized by Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) on the 1st National Anti-Drug Abuse Council Performance Awards.

The awards were exclusively selected from those who acquired an adjectival rating of Ideal also known as high functionality based on their coordination and monitoring drug-related cases that were all listed in 2017 ADAC Performance Audit.

The entirety of Quirino alongside Cabarroguis received 95% rating for their handling of these cases and for following the government’s goal of banishing illegal drugs in the country.
