PH Consulate General in Toronto Holds Special Screening of Filipino-Canadian Film “Temptations of a Hero”

TORONTO 13 February 2020 — Philippine Consulate General in Toronto hosted a special screening of the Filipino-Canadian film entitled “Temptations of a Hero” last 06 February 2020 at the conference room of the Consulate General.  The screening was attended by officers and personnel of the Philippine Consulate General and its attached agencies.

The said film depicts the life of a Filipino immigrant family in Toronto, Canada, including the struggles they have gone through and the sacrifices they have made to give their family a better future.  While the movie talks about the separation of families as one of the social costs of migration, it also relays the message of reconciliation, healing, and personal triumph.

Produced by Judith Gonzales of Pinoy Dreams Media International (PDMI) and spouses Paul and Ophelia Valdez of P & O Production, the movie is starred in by an all-Filipino cast. “Temptations of a Hero” was directed by Sam Herrera and its script was penned by Philippine Canadian Inquirer writer-columnist Bolet Arevalo.
