Philippine National Police (PNP) and local officials recently led the formal inauguration of the new police station building in this town.
Police Sr. Supt. Aurelio Ducay, Jr., head of the PNP’s Regional Logistics Research and Development Division (RLRDD) in Cagayan Valley, Governor Carlos Padilla and Mayor Ruben Basconcillo, Jr. led the blessing and inauguration of the two- storey building type B/C police station dubbed as “The home of the friendly cops”.
The officials also witnessed the cutting of ribbon and unveiling of the marker within the 300-square meter lot donated by the municipal government.
The building, worth P4.8 million, was funded under the General Appropriations Act of 2016.
“This will replace the old police station near the Municipal Hall,” Ducay said.
Ducay added that the building is a symbol of the symbiotic relationship between the LGUs and the PNP towards public safety and service.
Governor Padilla and Mayor Basconcillo also expressed their gratitude to the PNP for their efforts in putting in the needed funds for the building.
