Mga Himig sa Panahon ng Pag-ibig: A Valentine’s Concert from the UP College of Music

By: Christine Marie Lim Magpile, LPT

In her book The Story of the Trapp Family Singers, Maria Agatha von Trapp shared that “music acts like a magic key, to which the most tightly closed heart opens.” Going to a concert with someone special would then be a perfect way to express love on Valentine’s Day.

On February 15, 2020, Saturday, 7:00 p.m., the UP College of Music will have a concert, “Mga Himig sa Panahon ng Pag-ibig.” The concert will be held at the Abelardo Hall Auditorium, UP College of Music, UP Diliman.

The UP Voice and Music Theater Guild (UP VMTG) and UP Padayon Rondalla will perform the works of Nicanor Abelardo, Antonino Buenaventura, Lucio San Pedro, Francisco Santiago, and other renowned Filipino composers. The concert will also feature the gifted pianist Prof. Augusto Espino from the Keyboard Department of the UP College of Music.
