Go Go Gadget!: Disney working on Inspector Gadget review

by: Marcelo N. Morales Jr.

Back in the ’90s, Inspector gadget took the spotlight with his witty and dorky first live-action film appearance, starring Matthew Broderick. The film was based on the popular Sunday cartoon of the same name and was well-beloved and adored by fans.

Now, after more than 20 years since its release, a new live adaptation is on the works according to Disney. The project will be handled by the director of the recent live-action Aladdin, Dan Lin, and Jonathan Eirich, who garnered positive reviews on their recent work that hopefully, will positively affect this upcoming film. Saturday Night Live writers Mikey Day and Streeter Seidell are also on board, promising this reboot won’t be short on laughs and giggles!

Inspector Gadget is a well-loved character, with a good mix of high-tech gadgets, adventure, and comedy.

The release date is yet to be announced but surely fans will be flooding the cinemas for a nostalgic ride when Inspector Gadget hits the cinemas.
