Filipino Singer Joanna Ruth Miranda wins 9 medals in WCOPA

Joanna Ruth Miranda was awarded 9 medals at the 23rd World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) that was held in California, USA.

The WCOPA was similar to the Olympics wherein different talented performers and entertainers from different parts of the world meet-up and compete with each other. The competition was held from July 12 to 21 at Long Beach California.

The Filipino Singer has won a gold medal for vocals with self-accompaniment category, 4 silver medals for open category and variety, and 5 bronze medals for vocal Broadway, R and B, and rock music.

The local government of Quezon City organized an event which was led by Vice Mayor Gian Sotto with some city councilors to celebrate the achievements of the talented Filipino singer.
