MANILA — Margielyn Didal added a Southeast Asian Games gold medal to her accolade as she headlined the Philippines’ 1-2 finish in the skateboarding Game of SKATE competition at the Sigtuna Hall of the Tagaytay International Convention Center on Thursday.

Didal defeated compatriot Christiana Means in the finals to clinch the gold. Means settled for the silver in the process.

Didal and Means earlier forced the all-Filipino battle for the gold after beating Indonesians Nyimas Cinta and Kyandra Susanto, respectively, in the semifinals.

Cinta beat Susanto in the consolation match for the bronze medal.

Daniel Ledermann also delivered gold for the host country as defeated Basral Hutomo of Indonesia in the men’s finals.

Ledermann and Hutomo advanced to the gold medal round after beating Tien Son Nguyen of Vietnam and Thawatchai Siangoueng of Thailand in the semifinals. (PNA)
