Batanes guv gets fresh mandate

TUGUEGARAO CITY — Batanes Governor Marilou Cayco won her second consecutive term with 5,753 votes to defeat Telesforo Castillejos who got 3,547 votes, data from the Comelec regional office here showed.

Only 9,889 actually voted out of the 12,204 registered voters in the province.

For vice governor, Ignacio Villa won with 4,977 votes against Alexander Argonza who got 3,824 votes.

For congressman, Doc Gato won with a slim margin, as he garnered 3,367 votes against former Budget Secretary Florencio Abad’s 3,129 and former congressman Carlo Diasnes’ 3,032 votes. (PNA)
