Army 86IB is 5ID’s best battalion

 The 86th Infantry Battalion based in Jones town was recently adjudged as  Best Battalion of the 5th Infantry Division, Philippine Army.

The 5ID, PA has 11 battalions operating in the entire jurisdiction of the army division covering the Cagayan Valley region and the Cordillera Administrative Region.

Lt. Gen. Macairog S. Alberto, 60th Philippine Army commander, led the recognition on February 11, 2019 held at Camp Melchor Dela Cruz in Gamu, Isabela during his visit in the camp.

Alberto said the continuous and dedicated service of troopers from the 86IB has resulted to a peaceful and orderly place for residents living in their area of operations.

Lt. Col. Remigio Dulatre, 86IB commander, for his part, said the recognition of the higher military command adds inspire  the soldiers more in their desire to serve the people in their area of operations.

Dulatre thanked the Army Commanding General for the recognition accorded to his battalion.

He said they will continue with their commitmment to protect the people through strenghtened programs and activities under the army’s Community Support Program and Youth Leader Summits 

The 86IB covers the whole of Isabela and Quirino provinces composed of Alpha, Bravo and Charlie Company based in San Mariano, Nagtipunan and Jones respectively.
