The managers of 7-Eleven Philippines from Luzon area finally finished the Certificate Course in Retail Marketing Management last August 15, 2018, at the Bulwagang Bonifacio in PUP Main Campus. It is the first batch to graduate in a certificate course offered by the Institute of Continuing Professional Development (ICPD) of the PUP Open University System. The PhilSeven Foundation Inc which is the CSR arm of 7-Eleven Philippines supported its fifteen employees to pursue continuous learning by sponsoring them for a certificate course.
During the closing ceremony, the Assistant to the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Edelyn M. Mariano expressed her gratitude to 7-Eleven for choosing PUP as the learning institution to enroll their employees. She shared the biblical significance of cultivating one’s talents and she acknowledged the passion of the participants to enhance their skills and talents despite having managerial status and responsibilities.
After the certificate course, the participants are considering to finish their bachelor’s degree at the Institute of Non-Traditional Study Program and ETEEAP (INE) of PUP-OUS. Their professional experiences, prior learning, skills, and knowledge will be accredited for the subjects under the program they are to take.
